its a start of a brand new wk.. its going 2 be a busy wk for my company.. moving on to a new phase.. setting up lots of meetings with clients this entire wk.. and i had a chance to tag along with the BD guys and my boss to 2 of the meetings yesterday and today.. hee.. it was a great experience i muz say.. though im not the 1 presenting.. but juz sitting there.. and smile.... hahaha.. but of coz.. i help with the minutes la...
frank's back frm holland today.. and as promised.. he brought for us.. all the way back frm holland.. herrings.. its a kind of fish.. and they eat it raw.. like sashimi.. n its said to be 1 of their favourite food back in holland.. but ewwww i don't really like it..
firstly.. it has this really strong fishy smell.. like tat you smell when you go to wet markets.. n its really strong!.. it doesn't look too appealing... wet.. grey.. slimy.. n its really 100% raw.. looks juz as if its freshly fished frm the sea.. (accordingly to them.. in holland.. they just take the whole fish and bite just like tat!).. ewwwww.. basically they cut up the fish into small parts.. you can eat everything.. except the tail of coz..
i seriously dun look forward to trying it.. but still i've got to give some face.. arnout chose the smallest piece for me.. the look at it and the smell as you put it close to your mouth.. yuck!.. you can even see the small tiny bones sticking out.. which makes it more gross.. but u got to put the whole piece into your mouth!.. i did.. and.. yuuuuuwwwkkk.. its slimy.. its smelly.. its wet.. its soft.. juz like biting fats.. but at least its saltish.. which helps remove the fishy taste.. my colleagues were laughing at me.. when they saw my crumpled face.. n i forced myself to swallow it.. haa.. scott din like it too.. but the rest love it!.. haha.. amazing..
maybe im not a sashimi person.. i dun really like raw food.. so i dun know how 2 appreciate it.. haa.. but its a good experience.. haa.. n no!.. i will never try a second piece.. 1 piece is enough to allow the smell to linger in my mouth for the rest of the day.. goodness.. haa.. but if you guys have a chance.. go try it.. who noes.. you might love it!.. =)
