the past few days were crazy.. so much work to clear and everything's urgent.. and i can foresee it getting worse the next few mths.. haa.. all the best to me..
anyway was reading a book and i came across the following poem:
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk rejection
To place your dreams before the crowd is to risk ridicule
To love is to risk not being loved in return
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow, or love
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave
Only a person who takes risks is free.
i thought this is so true about the tests we have to go through in our lives.. risks are unavoidable.. :)
many things are going thru my mind right now.. not sure y im feeling that way.. guess im juz tired.. n perhaps all these are just some of the processes i have to go through in my life.. and the testing of my faith which i have to get through..
